Networking HDS 5 to HDS 7

Connected the HDS 5 to the HDS 7 using the LowranceNET with blue connectors. I am connecting the units with the NMEA 2K ports on the back (port with the black cover, not yellow).

When I create a waypoint with one, the other does not pick it up. Are there settings on the units themselves that I am overlooking? Does anyone have their HDS units networked that might be able to give me some ideas?
