st. croix ice rods

anyone here about the st. croix ice rods. I just found out that these were avalable. anyone that has used one of these new rods, give your opinions about the qaulity and fishability they provide. I need a new rod for lakers.

I saw them at Gander Mountain. They look pretty good, it was hard to tell if the blank goes all the way through the handle though. I love St.Croix but i still like my Thorne Bros rods the best.
