Kapkichi Lake near Pickle Lake???

Hello, Has anyone fished Kapkichi before? I have a friend that bought a cabin there and I'm thinking about making a trip there the second week in October. I hear there is pretty good walleye and some decent pike swimming in these water, but have never fished it myself. Anyone been there?? Thanks for any help. Happy fishing Dock Boy

I've heard of it. I know its somewhere just west of pickle. I've fished some of the other area lakes, St. Joe, Fitchie, Pashkogogan. If fishing is anything like those lakes it cant be too bad. The one thing is some of those lakes are netted by the natives so they can be hit and miss especially size wise and they set the nets in the fall. I've seen them come out of fitchie lake in the fall with wash tubs packed full of walleyes and the nets get set to take something like all fish bigger than 18". If its is by st. joseph I would try that but i know it is pretty heavily protected and you might have to get special permits to go in there.
