Left rear brake is locking up

Just put the boat into the garage and when I was pulling forward and pressed my brakes my left rear locked up. I depressed and realeased the paring braked but nothing. In rev going real slow it starts to feel like its binding up and squeals a little. Going forward and pressing the brake it locks them up at just a few mph. What should I start looking at?

It sounds as though you may have rear drum brakes and maybe possible one of the rear shoes separated from the baking plate. What model and year vehicle is this ?

Time to take a peak and see whats up behind the drums.

If you backed into a lake, I would say there is a lip on your rear drum. This would hold water and the water would swell the brake linings, causing the drag.

I would say thats probably what the issue is seeing that I had to back in pretty far to get the boat off the trailer with the water so low. I dropped it off this morning, I can do disc brakes but have never messed with drum. Thanks for the ideas guys.
