Gas Smoker

Looking to get a gas smoker. A buddy of mine has the White Mountain brand ( cost around $200 @ Fleet) and on the low setting, it only gets down to about 200 degrees.

I would like to get one that will get down to around 170 degrees.

Does anyone have one that gets down lower, more vairable heat then just a low/high setting?

I have a Smokey Mountain Gas Smoker, works very well, am able to get lower temps with it like you're looking for. I have used it for sausage several time and am able to keep the temp steady, just took some experimenting when I first got it. I think they run around $150 or so.

Does it have a vairable? or just a low/high setting.

It's variable control on the gas. I got mine at F/F, I think Wally World has them as well.
