now that I am going to end up buying a new prop, was wondering your experiences / opinions on a brand.

It looks like the following manufacturers make props for my motor:

Yamaha

Mercury Quicksilver Black Diamond

Michigan Wheel Match series

Michigan Wheel Vortex XHS

The prices are all about the same, is any one better than another?

I've got a two stroke yam and know that I got my best performance with the yam blade. I'm not sure that this is the case for all manufacturers but had been told this prior to seeing it for myself (with 2 stroke yams).
