Base for brick pavers

For a driveway, what to use, 1 foot of Class 6 (recycled Conc.)

or 8 inches of class 5 crushed aggregate limestone(pricey)?

I used the recycled when I put my driveway in then a inch of sand to set the pavers. Make sure it is compacted in layers and it works great and is a lot cheaper than the limestone. I packed mine with a compactor on a bobcat but doing it in layers with a plate compactor will work just fine.

For a driveway with pavers. I would use min of 1 foot of gravel. Recycled or virgin no exception. Most important is compaction. Make sure you put it in in 2" lifts and compact with a plate compactor. The gravel must be moist to compact as well.
