I have a 14ft. lund and I would like to purchase a trolling motor. I've never had one and was wondering what everyone would recommend as far as thrust goes to push the boat around for the day. Generally 2-3 adults on board. Thanks.

The more lbs of thrust the better, for when you need it. You don't want to underpower your boat, that is for sure. Although for a 14 foot boat I think you'd be fine with a 40 lb thrust motor too, but I wouldn't go any lower than that.

Another consideration is that you should get a motor with the digital maximizer, because they really extend your battery life. The Traxxis has models available with the digital maximizer and also has a rebate right now .... you can check them out HERE.
