ShoreGuy1984
I will be moving to Tennessee next spring. I am wondering if anybody knows if Tennessee has public access for shore fishing like Minnesota has, since I don’t not own a boat. I know they only have reservoirs, and not many lakes, which is a big change.

polarsusd81
Best thing to do down there is make friends with people that have access to private ponds. There are a ton of big fish in them. There are many public access areas for boats on the rivers and reservoirs along with some of the smaller lakes. A good idea would be to get yourself a small jon boat that would fit in the back of a truck, like a 1236 or 1248. That way you can pull up on smaller bodies of water and get in pretty easy. On my uncle's farm he has a couple jon boats sitting around and we pull them from pond to pond with ATV's.I have to come back to making friends with access to private ponds though. They are so much fun, and a lot of people have them or know somebody that has one.
