Public Access Down South

I will be moving to Tennessee next spring. I am wondering if anybody knows if Tennessee has public access for shore fishing like Minnesota has, since I don’t not own a boat. I know they only have reservoirs, and not many lakes, which is a big change.

Best thing to do down there is make friends with people that have access to private ponds. There are a ton of big fish in them. There are many public access areas for boats on the rivers and reservoirs along with some of the smaller lakes. A good idea would be to get yourself a small jon boat that would fit in the back of a truck, like a 1236 or 1248. That way you can pull up on smaller bodies of water and get in pretty easy. On my uncle's farm he has a couple jon boats sitting around and we pull them from pond to pond with ATV's.

I have to come back to making friends with access to private ponds though. They are so much fun, and a lot of people have them or know somebody that has one.
