The laker fishing was slow due to water temps and rain according to the staff. I only got 2 and my friend got 1. But we each got 33" trout safely released! Lots of walleyes at the Narrows where I landed a 25" and several 4-5 lb fish.

We trolled the wall with ball bouncing setups and both our rods stopped us on a reef. We backed up and I got mine out. My friend was wailing on the rod trying to free it when it shook back. He handed me the rod then so he could film the footage. It stayed down and shook only twice. After another minute or two, it came free. The 20lb snap bent straight out. I will have 80lb test everything next year so that never happens again!

Pretty good trip. Pike were hard to catch unless you had suckers on. I did catch a nice 43" pike later in the week at Allanwater Bridge Lodge. A real beast.

How was you trip?
