slipperybob
Hat's off to Thorne Bros. Picked up my two walleye baitcasting rods last night. I was little surprised that I got the Thorne Bros. logo on the bottom of my rod butt. Got my Citica 200E's on. Need some ice now.
Moe Szyslak
Im confused. What is the point of baitcasters on the ice? Its all I use in the summer but I dont get the point in the winter.
slipperybob
I can pull line from a baitcaster twice as fast and twice as easy compared to a open face spinning reel on a frozen spool.Baitcaster has much smaller profile, no need to break down handle.I can adjust depth on spooning jig by a foot without flipping the switch for backreeling or opening the bail.I will never have to worry about line coil jumping off the spool.Baitcaster have smoother drag and faster drag adjustmentsI will have significant line twist reduction. That's just from the top of my head.If I get really board, I go outside and do some baitcasting practice...j/k
