12V wiring

Jimmy

Question

I'm switching from a 24V trolling motor to a 12V and am wondering if I can just leave the two batteries hooked up and still run the 12V TM. Or is there some other way I should rig it up? Thanks for any advice!

Hook the Red wire + of both batteries together.

Hook the black wire of both batteries together.

Hook the motor to either battery .

This will give you 12 volts .

In a flash light the batteries are stacked end to end or + to - to increase the voltage.

By connecting + to + and - to - you increase the power available but not the voltage.

good luck !
