Flasher Power from Deep Cell Battery

Guest

Question

I'm hooking a Flasher to my Deep Cell for power in my small boat this spring.

Do I need to put in-line fuses or breakers so I don't toast my flasher?

I'm using an Exide Deep Cell and it's not used for cranking power, only to power the 12-volt Trolling Motor and the Flasher.

Thanks for your help...

Always connect a fuse to everything IMO.

I have had interference connecting a depth finder to the same battery powering my trolling motor. You may want to "rough" wire it and try it on the water before ripping all apart again (like I did) if you find problems later.

All my accessories are powered by the cranking battery.
