Question

I'm in the market for a new trolling motor. I didn't think it was going to be so difficult until I started looking for a new one. I have a I have a Lowe 1620(16 ft) With a 70 horse evinrude. What else decides what I need. I want some that will get me going in the current down in redwing yet not suck so much juice. I know I want a 12volt model because I have no room for another battery. It has to be a bow mount. I have been looking at motorguides, and think I want to stick with them. Any input to set me straight? Types or models?

Id go with a 24volt 65lb t-motor even if u have to cut a hole. If you dont want to drain as much get a 24 volt it helps alot. I know its easy to find a place to fix a minnkota and they have been pretty good to me. Go for 55lbs thrust or better. If you can afford it go bigger nothing is worse than not having enough power.
