atlantis drop cam

A fishing friend just purchased an Atlantis Drop Cam for ice fishing. My question is: The cable is connected to the end of the camera making the camera hang facing down under the water. I see that other cams hang horizontally...what position of the camera is better?

i got mine currently rigged to look down its a lot faster to check bottom type, type of fish your marking and if your in a clear enough lake you could even get use out of it with suspended crappies

How are the Atlantis cams? I can get a great deal on one and am wondering if I should go for it or save up for a Aqua-Vu.

i got the aqua vu mcx2 and it is a very nice unit portable fully waterproof but the thing is right now pretty much any camera you buy is a big thumbs down at night
