Lunker
Fished today from 11:30-4:30 in a backwater of the lake. It started out very slow targeting bass. The first hour I managed to lose 1 fish on a crank and that was it. Water conditions were high and stained, with current from the high water. I found a short stretch of shoreline out of the current where the fish were stacked in shallow water. I caught about 30 LM and 1 SM. Nothing very big, but multiple fish in the 15-16 in range and lots smaller. I don't think the big females have started moving up shallow yet. All fish caught on weightless soft plastics, senkos, etc in dark colors. After that I targeted gills for a while and they were tough to find. Caught some fish, and kept a few for the pan but the bite was slow.
