Panfish chasing January 5th 2012

Yesterday I had the pleasure of fishing with a few fishheads! Greg Clusia, Blake Liend, and Mike Raetz.

They all came to my neck of the woods with the hopes of getting into some decent panfish action. Mike arrived to my place at about 7:15 or so, we got on the ice at about 7:30 and started drilling some holes in a spot I had luck on last year. Greg and Blake showed up a little bit later and they started drilling and checking holes. I figured the fish would be on the top of the drop along the weededge, but I was wrong!

We ended up finding the fish out a little deeper along the bottom of the drop. We fished along the edge most of the day and fish would come in waves, the screen would light up and you would have to get down and catch 'em before they moved on. We tried a couple of different spots on the lake during the slow periods but the first spot ended up being the money spot!
