New York firearm question

Recommended Posts

My #3 son is getting married in a few weeks in Auburn,NY. The wedding is at a sportman's club that they rented for the entire weekend and we have the use of the facilities. Since there are shooting ranges, we've thought about what guns to bring along. I understand that pistols are not allowed to be brought into the state. Can that possibly be true?? Its hard to imagine anyone living in a state with a law like that, but I guess its possible. Also, do they sell three day non-resident fishing licenses or are there only annual ones?

I've also questioned them on whether a marriage performed in New York is recognised as legal in Minnesota. And whether I'll be able to understand the New yorkers' language since I've been raised speaking English. joking

First off, I have been to Minnesota and have many friends there. My first time there I almost needed a translator. That wasnt english I heard, lol. grin

NYS does offer a one day and a 7 day fishing license for 15 and 35 bucks...

As for the gun rules, I really dont know for sure. I'd imagin they are really strict. Im sure someone here will have more info.

You will really enjoy your visit here. Everyone I know who has come out for our ice show always commented on how nice everyone is. cool

There is alot to do around Auburn. Your not far from Syracuse and Oneida lake and your smack at the north end of the Fingerlakes. If anyone in your group likes wine, you should plan a trip down along Cayuga or Seneca lake - tons of cool wineries
