Pelican "getaway" or pursuit - Thoughts?

I'm looking at a Pelican Getaway or a Pursuit for my first kayak. Funds are limited, but these looked ok to me. Any thoughts on these or other models from experienced ones? Thanks.

i know this is a super old post, but i just saw it and thought i'd throw my two cents in just in case you're still looking.

i own a pair of pursuits. good rec boats for the money. a little tough if you want to fish 'em, and they don't track extremely well. i made a set of outriggers for one of mine w/ some pvc pipes that helps for fishing w/ the stability, etc. especially when anchored or drifting a decent chop.

i've paddled more expensive ones a fair amount, and unless you're spending $600 for the money you can't beat the pelicans imo.
