we are taking another round of spring snows. It's been raining/snowing now for the past 24 hours. I've got 4 inches of heavy wet stuff today as well as a couple inches yesterday with heavy drizzle in between. Needless to say it is w-e-t with more moisture on the way thru the week. The northwest corner (Harding,Butte & Perkins counties) has really taken a pounding with heavy deaths tolls on antelope and deer. 1000's of dead calves and cows all over that part as well. Fences are in ruins, feed lots are flooded and difficulty in getting feed to water stranded pastures. I heard one ag report from No Dak stating that 19,000 calves have perished as well as 2,000 cows. No telling what other sickness related deaths are going to occur. It's NOT a pretty picture.
