Flatheads near Duluth?

Hey everyone, this will be my first summer fishing for cats. I was wondering if there is anywhere around here (Duluth) that is good for cats. I think the St.Louis has Channels and is the only place that I know of but I am not sure if there are flatheads in there too? It sounds like most people on here are from around the Twin cities area so I dunno if any of you are familiar with the waters up here. I have a boat too so shore accessible areas aren't a factor. But just wondering if I am going to have to start planning some trips south for the summer. Thanks for any help! smile

Dean - I'm familiar with that area and I've never heard of flathead being caught that far north. You have some good channel cat fishing in the St Louis River but you will have to head south for flatheads. The known flathead waters are the Minnesota River, Mississippi River below Coon Rapids Dam and the St Croix River.
