Growing your own morels

Since I cant find any in the woods I was thinking of growing my own. Is it possible to grow them in your backyard? Are the mushroom kits you see advertised a rip off? I think it woould be sweet to have morels pop every spring in your own backyard!

You can grow them in an aquarium in your basement. Theres websites that offer all sorts of differant kinds even "magic" ones. good luck

You can get kits and you can grow them in a terrarium type environment or if you have the right conditions in your back yard it would be possible to grow them. It is kinda hard to match exact conditions outside but I am sure its possible, my grandpa tried one year and did not have any luck outside. I have seen a lot of people that have had luck indoors though. You have to follow the instructions pretty close and keep everything sterile. If you find a kit from a place that looks repeatable I would think that it would work if you were careful and followed the directions as close as possible.
