Eye Problems???

Anybody have any experience or advice with this problem. My dog has one small red dot that is making the outer lens appear cloudy around the red dots. He has one in both eyes near the outside corners of the eyes. I am unsure if he possibly poked the eyes or what they may be. He don't appear to be in any pain and it does not appear to discomfort him. Has anyone had anything similar happen with their dogs? Dog will be going to the vet tomorrow.

Just got back from the vet,the problem I am dealing with is in a Shepard. Apparently he may have a disease called Pannus. Does anyone have any experience with this?

No did he refer you to a k9 opptamoligist?

He did state that is something I should check into. Does anybody recommend anyone?

Laraka and Olivero I have used both or the U. Laraka is up by coon rapids area.

A neighbor we used to have years ago had a sheppard that had the same condition as yours. I believe they had to put dropps in her eyes, other than that the dog functioned fine and lived a long life. Hope it all works out.

Well we are heading up to the U in a week to have them take a look at the eye problem. I had a phone consultation with one of their optomologists that told me the Pannus disease is most common in Sheppards but can occur in any breed obviously. It sounds like what jiggin matt said, that it is very treatable with eye drops and the spots on the eyes will eventually clear up. So I am hopeful this is the case. Thanks for all the replies guys.
