Mille Lacs Island resort

My sister is looking at a place at Mille Lacs Island resort; does anyone here know anything about the resort itself? Are the owner’s good people? Is it well run? You know, the usual questions.

I called last year to check into getting a seasonal lot, but they told me they were booked up with a 5 year waiting list. they only had cabin lots for sale.

Sounds like a good place, but they didn't even take names the list was sooo long.

I have several friends with park models in the resort. They all enjoy it and it is very well run and maintained. It has a harbor and docking and I have fished out if there. Lots of family oriented activities. They are beginning a expansion this fall for more park model sites. Essentially, it is becoming a park model type lot. If you are leasing a new unoccupied site you must purchase your park model from them. If you buy a existing trailer in the park then you can replace the trailer with one bought anywhere. Amenities include swimming pool, c store, docking and storage areas. Very friendly people in the park. If having one of these is your thing it's as good as they come.
