Wanderer
I'm helping my daughter's friend out with her van. If you need the year, I can ask, but would think they'd pretty much be the same. Its old and has high miles. 90's I think.Anyway, I am replacing the shocks for her and noticed the rear wheel bearings are loose. I am wondering if there is a pre-load spec or any torque I am suppose to put the bearings.Or, do I just snug them up, back off a 1/4 like a trailer since its pretty much like a trailer axle back there. The last bearings I did were on a 4x4 front hub. Definitely needed pre-load and torque on the lock nut. Any advice? Thanks.
Jeremy airjer W
You are correct. Tight, back it off, snug. A little loose is way better than a little tight! Just like a trailer.
