Glock Reloading

Recommended Posts

I just recently purchased a glock model 23, 40. I was wondering if anyone knows about reloading for this gun. I was told at sportsman's Warehouse that I could'nt because of the square firing pin. Is there any truth to this, or did the guy not know what he was talking about? Also if I can reload, is it worth it?

Cattail, I fire 500 to 1000 rounds a year though my Glocks and 90% are reloads. There is nothing wrong with firing reloads EXCEPT: 1. Don't use cast bullets, only jacketed bullets. The rifling in a glock barrel will peel lead off as it goes down the barrel. 2. If you read the owners manual, it states all warrenties are void by firing reloads. I've never had any problems with my Glocks, so I don't worry about it. Are you just getting started reloading? Let me know if you need any help.
I fire reloads for practice and carry 135gr. Corbon hollow points.

PS. It's worth it if you shoot a couple times a year. Once your set up for reloading you can load more than one caliber, besides it's a good hobby to have!
