Mr. Heater Thermocouple Leaking ?

I have a Mr. Heater replacement thermocouple I replaced on my one sunflower heater 1lb container heater. It leaks where the thin copper tube goes into the brass nut. Anyone know why this is and what I need to do to fix it? Thanks, if you ansewer.

If it was just purchased I would take it back and if not go buy another. If it is on tight there should be no gas leaking. You could unscrew it and put back on to be sure but there is no way I would use it in this condition.
