catchin'whopper
Where were you at? Be more specific?I was out on Shell Lake on Saturday with temps starting at 48 in morning and topping out at about 53 in the afternoon. Smallies were not running the banks yet and the fishing was spotty. Week ago the male largemouth were cruising the southern lake's northern bays according to a club member (Fisher98). Saturday there was none there possibly due to the fronts that ran through on friday night, which also had rain, thunder and hail. Fun camping at the access there, let me tell you.Sunday was on Mudhen in Siren, water started at 52 degrees and we saw as much as an eight deegree rise by 4:00. Nothing in the shallows for the most part. Early morning the buck bass were swimming and active but very difficult during the rest of the day, couldnt belivee it with the sun and warm weather, pretty frustrating. THinking that they are a week away at this point to being on those beds. The reeds even grew 8 inche within 2 days there in some parts. Who else?
