Can't speak for the 09, but my Dad has an 07 Acadia (which has the nonDI version of the same engine) and really likes it, bought it used a few months ago. Definitely gets better mileage than the Trailblazer he used to have. Hasn't had any problems yet and has enough oomph for him. He said the engine/tranny seem pretty smooth. (same tranny that's in the 09)
