I have the exact boat you mentioned in your original post.

Come on down to Monticello and we can take it for a spin.

I was out jumping icebergs on Sunday!

Might go do it again Wednesday.

If it were me, I would be looking in to a Beavertail and put a surface drive on it. You can go almost anywhere with one of these. There are a few sizes of motors one can pick from and I have seen them work.. It is pretty impressive from lake water to just wet mud.

Of course the jet boats are the real mans boats but until one can get the courage up to own such a machine, them mud motors are a real durable get around anywhere boat.
