whats your #1 tactic for cold weather crappies

I would have to go w/ a forage minnow myself, but I'd have to make it a 1/16 oz blue tipped w/eurolarvae.

I think the pressure changes are felt a little bit more than the weather FWIW. I slow things down a little when high pressure hits, sometimes see if I can go smaller or larger. One thing that cold does it make you less mobile and you have to fight that. I'll keep fighting it till I give up and sit in a permanent, play cards, and watch movies.

I went out tonight and used a blue glowing Gem-n-eye tiped with some gulp wax worms. Worked pretty good.

ok.so how about a demon glow jig and a nice mushie waxworn sending the scent out ,hooked up too some 2# floro carbon line on a nice light graphite jigging rod? sound better?

im a waxie fan, But tonight a green or red doodle bug w/minnow and you had to raise it w/little jigs and wham. Wouldnt hit waxie at all but really liked that presentation.

Minnow head on 1 inch forage minnow has been working for me or just try something off the wall, such as a plain gold hook with a minnow or even any non glow hook, if you think about the concept a glowing minnow isnt natural and if they are finicky they will come in to the glow, but know better than to bite it.

i think im just gonna stay home this week, the cold weather makes me scared im just gonna wait,im hittin mille lacs this weekend but i will be back out on the slab hunt monday night, i like the idea of throwin out off the walll stuff it seems it always works, good luck guys
