North Metro Lakes

Any sugestions on a lake worth going to. I have went out four times and only seen one pike blast thru the hole. Seen lots of Bass and panfish but nothing for the pickle jar.

Was out on Johanna and only seen a tiger muskie. Nothing to spear. I am from Grand Rapids and was taking my girl friend's father out spearing for the first time, just befor new years eve. We had a good time even while the spearing was not so hot.

Last years FM Get the Gator was on Big Marine and i seen a few small fish but there was a couple good size fish taken that day.

As for a north metro lake I heard at the bait shop that Turtle lake in Shoreview is pretty good, clear and loaded with pike.

It is between Lexington and Cty Rd I West.

I have never fished it so I am not sure.

Another known spearing lake is Square, out towards Stillwater.

Plus there's plenty of small lake x's to try.
