Jeremy airjer W Posted January 20, 2009 Share Posted January 20, 2009 You can also start it up cold with no pressure in the cooling system (you can easily squeeze the upper and lower hoses) and see how long it takes for the hoses to get hard. If they are hard before the get warm stick a fork in it! Also if you see a continuous stream of bubbles out of the radiator filler kneck its usually a pretty good sign as well. You can alos get it up to temp and when you get home shut it off and pull the #2 plug. Give it a couple of hours and them see if you can see coolant in the cylinder.
