Jiggem Up
I'm new to the metro and moved right near Medicine Lake. I would like to put some sunfish on the table. Is Medicine Lake a viable option and if so, where's a good place to start hunting? If you're interested in heading out together, let me know at [email protected]. fishuhalik
There's a ton in there, but not much over about 8". Most are around the 6" mark. I'd start on the northwest side, there's a 20' hole, check the dnr lakefinder HSOforum for a contour map of the lake to see what i'm talking about. blackdog1101
I used to live on 32nd Ave North, about 10 houses up from East Medicine Lake Blvd. (Right next to the Lutheran seminary.) If you find 32nd Ave on a map, and follow that line out into the lake, there is a hole about 100 or so yards to the east. You'll see it on the DNR map. Also, straight out from 32nd Ave the lake has a sandy bottom, and is a good place in the spring for spawning panfish. I also caught some carp on the sandy flats there too. Jiggem Up
thanks for the help gentlemen. If you see a white F-150 FX4 and a black/white colored portable on the ice, feel free to stop by and see what's biting.
