wisc ice tourneys

looking for any ice tourneys,local events open to all in the siren,grantsberg,amery
danbury areas this winter,any type of schedules,dates etc available anywhere ???
or are most only advertised a couple weeks before events?????
trying to set up winter work schedule at
work and would like to no what weekends to avoid working etc

check out http://www.burnettcounty.com/tourism/events.html for a list of burnett county fishing contests. most are posted a few months in advance, but they don't have 2004 events posted yet. check last year's calendar - they usually keep it the same weekend every year. the big ones are the wood lake tourney (usually saturday of valentines weekend), clam lake the end of february, and the most fun is burlingame (east of danbury), usually the end of january. webb lake has one too, and they tried some combination mini golf/fishing tourney on crooked lake in siren last year (sponsored by the lodge at crooked lake), but i think they had it during the week! i've usually got my shack on burlingame, so we have a big party on the ice.
