Any decent bass lakes around Superior area?

Looking to take my 11 year old out next weekend, he's been waiting all winter, he got all the rods for christmas and has been picking up tackle all winter to fill his new tackle bag, he wants to go out in the boat next weekend and give it a try (cpr). I'm not quite sure where to go, any ideas? Can you even fish for them on a catch and release basis as stated in the regs for the northern zone?

i am pretty sure you cant fish for them no matter what. wait until saturday, even then the northern zone wont be open. south of the highway 70 something. stick with the panfish for now and northerns n walleyes saturday.

they say a guy thinks about women every 4 seconds but i think fishing is about every 2
