Using a Rattle Trap for a decoy

One of my friends has had good luck using a rattle trap as a decoy. Has anyone tried this?

I have used them before. I usually try them when none of the other decoys are bringing them in. Sometimes they work, other times not. They sure do make noise though.

I think there is a Duey Rattle Decoy model.

I have used rattle traps and have had mixed sucess I jig them and have caught pike on them and have had pike blast in and miss them several times . This past weekend I was fishin mille lacs and was jiggin them and no pike but did it ever draw in the perch and not just one or two, dozens would come in and one time about a 150 baby perch schooled in around it.

I also have a deuy's rattle decoy called the teal teaser with rattle

I have added rattles to all of my decoys. Go and get some small worm rattles and slip them into the holes of your decoys. It worked great for my bear creek decoys-had to open the drain holes just a bit to get them slid in.
