Game Gourment Complete Game Cooking System

Tried the roast and steak system tonight with the family for dinner and did the beef burgany variation. Consensus was that it was too rich and those who were not big fans of vension said too gamey. Anyone else ever tried these Game Gourmet systems? Feedback? I may give er one more try with just the basic recipe but the family tends to prefer the venison marsala with the steaks and just the marinated/broiled chops.

We did not care for the taste... I think it's just too heavy and you lose the flavor of the deer. I used the basic packet but I won't but it again.
