boat motor pull start.

I have an older (not sure of year) 15hp envinrude. The other day I tryed starting it and the pull rope was stuck, The bolt came out the holds down where the rope winds around. I got the bolt back in and everything appears back like its suppose to be. Now when I pull the rope it doesn't rewind back in on its own. Any ideas.... Sorry if this is confusing to read

Sounds like your spring either wasn't wound back up right, or is broke.

That is what makes the rope go back in.
