MY FAVORITE AND PROVEN LURE ESPECIALLY LATE ICE IS,"WHISTLER JIG TIPPED WITH SMALL MINNOW HEAD".. MOST ALL MY LARGE CRAPPIES THAT I HAVE BEEN IN THE OUTDOOR NEWS WITH, HAVE BEEN CAUGHT WITH THESE.. AND THEN SOME. THE WHISTLER IS ALSO ONE OF MY FAVES FOR WALLEYE IN THE WINTER.. THE WALLEYES LOVE TO HAMMER IT!! ON A SLOW RETRIEVE, FLUTTER UP..

A RED AND WHITE MINNIE TUBE JIG IS ALSO HARD TO PASS BY.. THEY ALSO WORK WONDERS ON THE LARGER FISH.. ESPECIALLY SHORE FISHING ON RIVERS.. WHEN YOU BUY A PACK OF THESE SOMETIMES THE TENTICLES ARE STUCK TOGETHER.. JUST SLIGHTLY PULL THEM APART SO THEY "FLARE" MORE IN THE WATER..

I really like the marmooshkas and diamond jigs tipped w/ a waxie for finicky pannies, and either a demon w/ a minnow or tiny swedish pimple w/ a minnow tail for aggressive craps.

  I went ahead and watched some of the MLF coverage. Wheeler didn’t make the cut but the bigger story was the Poche/Avera fallout. Kinda funny listening to both sides of the story and putting together the scenario, reading between the lines.
