riversmallmouth35
Come on guys this was suppose to be a thread for people to share how they or someone they took out did. You both made some good points and what it comes down to is the kids are making memories and having fun. It looks like a lot of people made some great memories and hopefully it will make more duck hunters for the future.
winniewalleye777
Yes jparrucci, kids are more important to duck hunting than you are. If it were the other way around, yesterday would have been jparrucci early waterfowl day. I totally agree that kids should get to a range and practice a bit before shooting at live ducks, but they still may shoot a box or more on YWD. Shooting is FUN! The only way to get a kid to come back to the blind is to make sure he or she is having fun. If you sit there and harp on the kid for missing, he will never want to come back. The important thing here is that we are getting kids involved in the sport so they can carry the traditions of wildlife managment on for many years to come.
