tell-tale stream

My '75 15hp omc does not have a tell tale stream. Could a mechanic "tap into the sytem" and retrofit one?

Take a look at the back of the engine - near the head. Is there an exposed rubber hose that isn't connected to the fuel system?

If so, yes, it would be easy to tap into it. If not, then I'd say no, it would not be easy as he'd have to drill and tap the block (unless you really, really want one)

There may be a 1/4 pipe plug on the exhaust plate or head that may work.
