Chevy - Rough starting and backfires

Thought I would share this: My Chevy Silverado 6.0 liter was starting hard and running/idling rough. I replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator and it fixed it right up.

Ended up costing me $80.00 and a few curse words; If your Chevy is showing the same symptoms, try replacing the fuel pressure regulator, this seems to be a common problem as the parts guy say's it happens a lot.

As far as degree of difficulty, this was an easy fix, maybe ½ hr and an experienced guy could do it in 10 minutes.

You are correct. More than just the trucks, most GM's have this problem!

Thanks for posting, I have a 6.0 and this could save me time if I run into this issue.
