north red river
I just got an old 14 foot crestliner for free(great price) but it has wooden rails on it.....never seen that before. They are rotted out and i'd like to put new ones on it. Anyone ever done this before with any luck or heard of it being done?
sparcebag
What kind of wood and what style gunnal can you post a pic? Most times you'd need to steam the wood then apply.

sparcebag
Looks fairly easy, you could buy some 16 ft. oak 1x2s Install them one at a time to make the bends laminate them remove and shape.Expensive wood tho.If you had a finger joiner bit on a radial arm saw you could make your own 16 ft. 1xs
Neighbor_guy
I just got an old 14 foot crestliner for free(great price) ..."Anything free, better be worth paying for"....Way to snag a project boat. Should be a fairly easy repair. What else are you going to do to it?????
