Crosby area lakes

What's workin up the crappie on the Crosby area lakes? I'll have a week of fishing in Crow Wing county a week from now and I want to make the best of it.

#4 red-colored plain hook with small crappie minnow hooked through the mouth. They will probably be moved out of spawning areas and suspended in deeper water.

Small flu-flu under a slip bobber or plain hook and sinker under a slip bobber. Friend just got back from near serpent and did very well on nicer crappies. Side note, the trout at the pits are hitting pretty well right now as well.
