Trolling Shallow??

I was able to sneak out in the Corny area over Memorial weekend Saturday and Sunday and had a blast boating a steelhead, laker, a couple coho's and a small brown trolling shallow (20-30ft of water).

As I continue to learn more and assuming a lot is dependent on temp.'s, in general how long can one have success trolling shallow for a mixed bag in the spring, before switching to deeper water?

Usually, that 45 to 50 degree mark will shift fish out of the shallows. The south shore is still looking decent for shallower water fishing.

Hit the lake Saturday morning and had rods in by 6am and fished until 9am. Caught a small brown and one nice coho. Fished in 30-40ft of water.
