I have an older (97) Motorguide Lazer with a wireless pedal. The pedal i have eats through the batteries like crazy. I have 2 questions

1. Do the new pedals that they sell work on the older models as long as it is still motorguide?

2. Is there a way to hook a wireless pedal up to a cigarette lighter plug?

I'm not sure if you can use the new pedal with an older system or not. I'm almost certain you can't connect it to a cigarette lighter plug.

I'm not familiar with the connections, but could you buy a wired foot pedal for this, or are you stuck with wireless only?

One other option might be to look at a high amp hour rechargeable battery for the foot pedal - buy two sets and you should be covered for a trip.
