What flies to use

I'm a newcomber to fishing for trout with flies, I've done a bit of flyfishiing for pannies, and bass, but am just now trying to learn some of the in's and out's of the trout. I have been drifting an assortment of nymphs during the catch and release season, but with the high water I'm at a loss at what patterns to try. Any ideas?

Wooly buggers, muddler minnows, san juan worms, bead head nymphs of bigger sizes, and good ol streamers or any big fly is a good choice when fishing the chocolate milk. Other than that find a spring fed stream, they typically stay clearer, or clear faster. good luck
