White protective wrap on new boats and cars

Does anyone know if that white protective wrap that you see on new boats and cars is available to the general public? I'm thinking that since this stuff is designed to protect new cars from rock chips during transport it would work equally well to throw on the boat for long trips to protect from road debris. I currently use clear shelf paper but am looking for something better.

Do a search for boat wrap and you will find quite a few. Even some utube videos.

I don't want a boat wrap (I did do the search before I posted the question), I want the stuff that clings on then you peel it off and throw it away.
