Fishing moon rises and phases

Recommended Posts

Tried and proven times are sunrise and sunset, and moonrise and moonset. Watch for the times when they are close together (sun and moon). Especially good are the full and dark moon, like you said, but don't forget about the few days either side. Local weather also plays a big part, so pay attention to approaching fronts, wind switches, etc. I also like to pay attention to the fishes attitude...if you've fished all day without cooperation, there's a good chance they'll go that night. But also pay attention to lakes with tons of fishing pressure. Many times in these cases, about the only bite is a night bite. Hope this helps..
